Can vehicles that run on gas be converted to run on the hydrogen fuel cell?

I have a paper to do on that question and just need some help. If it can how much would it cost? How would the economy beneifit? What procedures would have to be taken to complete this task? How long would it take to convert the vehicle to run on the fuel cell?

  1. MasterPython says:

A fuel cell is just a batery without electrolites. You would need to have the fuel cell hydrogen tank and elelctric motor to run the car. Also a heater becasue you would no longer have a radiator and heater core becuse you removed the engine. And you would need to completly rewire all the electrical to work off the fuel cell instead of the barey and alternator.

It would probably be cheaper to buy a car in Iceland and ship it across the ocean.

Converting a engine to burn hydrogen instead of gasolene is similar to converting one to run on propane though.
