HHO Generator HVDC4

Production test of new dry cell with 120VDC at 10 amps. Distiled water with a mix of K2CO3 and KOH without any additional capacitors hooked to the cell on the test with the video. Did one test right after the video with the 2200uf capacitors hooked to the cell and with the voltage on the cell at 120VDC I had a voltage going into the Bridge rectifier on 108VAC at 9.0 Amps and still made 12 seconds with 1 liter of HHO gas.

the trick seems to be high amps low volts i am beginig to lose faith in the resonant frequincy and leaning towards a combination of gap voltage amps and maybe the inclusion of a freq.
but still scepticle there must be another way

The material I am using for gaskets is 1/8″ thick vinyl curtain material like you see going in walkin coolers. You can buy them from mcmastercarr but I got them at work. They were replacing some and was throwing the material away, but you might ask around and might find some also. If I was going to buy some I think I would buy some 3/32 material instead. I think it would be more efficient a little closer at these voltages.

Hi mdbreedi, it looks like you are producing a great amount hho.
what material are you using for your gaskets, how far are they spaced, where did you buy them from.

    thank you

This setup I am using 2 Powerstat 236BU variable transformers hooked to 240VAC to the panel in my shop on a 20A breaker. The voltage coming out of the transformers goes to a full bridge rectifier then to the cell. This gives me the ability to adjust the voltage from 0-245VDC with the transformer and up to 20A but about all of my test are at 120VDC, which you can just rectify your voltage straight from a wall socket and change the AC voltage to DC voltage

Are all the HVDC test so far with KCO as the electrolyte? What concentration did you use on them. In your first vid you mentioned 2 tblspns per gal. Did you change it? Since you didn’t use an inverter, but a rectifier, could you elaborate on how that was hooked up. How many amps on the lead in? Great work. Don’t know anyone with MMW as high as yours.

hello : i would like to ask you if is posible to conect a inverter to the baterry and so convert 12v dc to 230 ac and at the output conect a bridge rectifier … are that going to work? thank you

    when you say holes through the gaskets do you mean a solid sheet of gasket 6×6 then only holes or gaskets around the parameter with holes and if a solid sheet 6×6 with holes then what is thickness of gasket thanks for your help,,:}

It was very hot outside in the shop when I did this test but I have ran it for a couple of hours and as long as I kept my amps under 9 at 120VDC the temp. would stay under 110F. But I have not ran it more than 2 hours at one time. As far as the inverter I have not checked the amp draw from a battery to the inverter yet cause I have not purchased one yet.
The size of the plates are 6″x6″ and have holes inside the gaskets on the plates for fluid to flow and gas. No pwm. Hope this helps.

  10. terrytenison says:

what if you run it for 3 or 4 hours? what is the time it takes the temp to go from 96 to 104f or is it steady, how many amps are you drawing to your inverter, what are your cell size at 4″x4″? are you using pwm, thanks :>

1200 W = 12 volts x 100 amps, right >?? in the end is not so good, and there is no way to pull 100 amps from a regular car alternator.

  12. tvryb says:

    are you using a bubbler?
    if so REMOVE IT!
You’ll get a waaaayyy more accurate LpM. The bubbler imparts a non-linear pressure on the cell causing the gas output to flutter

The ends of my cell is made of HDPE or the same stuff they make truck bed liners out of. My bolts are insulated with Nylon tubing on the outside but I put mine on the outside cause I did not want to drill all the holes thru the plates. My gaskets are made of clear vynal curtain material 1/8″ thick cut out in the center like scarecrows are, and also the holes are like his also except I have 2 holes near the top for the gas to escape instead of three. Alternator ????? Battery Inverter yes!!!!

  14. FIZZYH2O says:

hi mdbreedi, very impressive! what are the ends of the brick made of? your design is quite different from scarecrow’s in that your bolts are outside the plates so you don”t have to insulate them. also what are your seperators made of. i would like to build and test a similar design. if i do i would want to step up the voltage from the battery since the ultimate goal is to use it in a test car. any thoughts on what to use to get that kind of power out of the alternator?

  15. mdbreedi says:

This setup is 120VDC not AC voltage. This is rectified AC voltage not from a battery. The bridge rectifier changes the voltage from AC to DC voltage.

  16. mdbreedi says:

This is the type of cell it is. It is not submurged in liquid like a lot of cells are. This type, the edges of the plates are dry and the liquid flows thru the stack of plates.

wow nice work. I just got into HHO stuff and it seems that more and more people are going from VDC to VAC (less heat, better output, etc).

Someday maybe I will do this, but I have to learn & test out my first cell, before I do.

    Thanks for posting.

Take a look at this site. My cell is based on the Tero.ranta electrolyser. Mine is a 60 plate design that uses 120VDC. If you use 12DC or 120VDC try to maintain around 2VDC per plate to start with and use the KOH to adjust your amperage with. Search google with Tero.ranta electrolyser and use the waterfuelcell pdf file for a start.
