Ok,- also, so how about using hydroelectric energy, or geothermal, or how about natural gas? Why does the cruxt of your argument hinge on the idea that hydrogen will never work because we MUST rely on oil to produce it?

  2. johnwcaldwell says:

Ok, so I think there is some law of physics that says you can never get more energy out of something than you put into it, or something like that. So, here’s a question, If you had a machine that ran on hydrogen that converted water into hydrogen is it possible that it could produce more hydrogen than it took to produce the hydrogen?

Oil is definitely worse than hydrogen, hydrogen is far from perfect. First off, how do you get hydrogen? The easiest way is electrolysis: using electricity to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen. And where does this electricity come from? Clean energy sources (wind, solar, etc) dont provide enough power yet to run a full-fledged hydrogen economy, which means, currently, the only way to provide hydrogen in any real quantity is using fossil fuel power (which pollutes) to process the water.

I’ve never heard any of this before. Frankly, I think your either crazy, stupid, or just outright lying. Do you work for the oil company?

hydrogen isnt “carbon free” if the process of making hydrogen emits mass amounts of pollutants, hydrogen could damage the enviroment. also, if the world switches to hydrogen as a fuel, there will be inevitable leaks, and the hydrogen content in our atmosphere will increase, worsening global warming. hydrogen isnt perfect.

Many companies will make hydrogen, it’s easy. The price of the car will come down, and soon the hydrogen fuel cell will be powering our homes and businesses as well. No more electrical power utility companies, no more global warming. See the future guys — it’s here, it just hasn’t happened yet!

    Hello!
i would like to know some hard facts about the bike:
-How big is the power(in Watts) output of the fuelcell?
-How long can you drive it at maximum output?
-How much hydrogen does it consume(liquid or gas?)?
-How many liters of liquid hydrogen do you store in the tank?

    Best Regards from Germany 🙂
