Hi Jo, and thanks for your interest. Sorry about the delay getting back to you, we were away on vaca.
Im my video I eluded to a solar device on the ‘bugs’ roof that I use to recharge the battery. Where I work has perfect southern exposure, so I connect the solar panel (about 18″ square) and it ‘tops off’ the battery thru out the day. As for hooking up several batteries in series, this I still have to try. I originally bought the bug to make a evcar (elec) but just love the old engines too much

OK so how often did you charge the battery?
Seems to me if you use the house electricty
to charge it . you would get more mileage.
but you are not adding the cost of the electricty. Just the same if gasolene gets scarse it still might be a good idea.
what about two batteries in series for 24 volts and more output?
or 36 or 48 volts.while it is runing you should be able to lean the engine more than it is now..
seriously… and get much better mileage.
thanks for the video.

Hi JC, it is easy to do and the ‘generator’ is just made from stainless steel wall or switch plates. Use a ‘ball’ jar and nylon or plastic washers in between the plates to insulate from each other. By drilling the holes thru the wall plates @ different sizes you can alternate them and hook them up for two differint poles (pos. and neg.) It is very safe, just make sure both poles are insulated well from each other. Having an old car as the bug makes it doubly easy, cause there are not Mapp sensr

You can build your own for around $100 or less depending on the materials available to you.

another example that HHO works!
I wish i could affor to buy one good unit and put it in my old diesel car.

Great soundtrack for the video. Great series overall. I am quite certain that you can improve your efficiency to gain 50-100% on the bug by tweaking the cell a bit. KOH @ 12-15A will change those numbers a bit.
Good job on the videos.
