If you use NaCl in a electrolysis reactor you will get HCl acid gas and that gas will dissolve in the water. HCl gas is not recomending for breathing, it really hurts as it will burn any part of your respitory system that it comes in contact with. Not very nice to use NaCl or any Florine for that will turn into HF acid and that will eat through glass.
