Daimler Chrysler’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car

This is a look at the Daimler Chrysler’s hydrogen fuel cell car. It’s not only pollution/emission free vehicle which is great for the environment, but there are many advanced safety features that may soon show up on future generations of Daimler Chrysler automobiles.

the majority of people with cars are still using them for short journey which they need to stop doing. use you’re car only for long journeys

Many companies will make hydrogen, it’s easy. The price of the car will come down, and soon the hydrogen fuel cell will be powering our homes and businesses as well. No more electrical power utility companies, no more global warming. See the future guys — it’s here, it just hasn’t happened yet!

Shove it in your ass….You stupid cunt. Terrorists benefit more if you rely on gasoline forever..You stupid cunt don’t understand that the money we spend on gasoline eventually pours into their pockets. No wonder we don’t get anywhere and it is because of asshole cunts like yourself..

the public does not understand some facts:
    – like it or not there are no (cheap) oil reserves left, so the world is running out of it rather sooner than later
    – any fossil energy we would still find would be more expensive to exploit and harm the environment even more than is the case today
    – the hydrocarbons era is out; the hydrogen era is the only clean alternative
I suggest that those intersted read the book from Jeremy Rifkin titled The Hydrogen Economy.

It looks like electric hybrid is the future. Hydrogen fuel has proven to be very expensive to produce and deliver to the public. Why not build hydrogen power plants to deliver energy in the form of electricity allowing people to get their MPGs indirectly from H thus reducing the CO2 emissions even further. Any T.A.K.E.R.S. ???

  6. dbca999 says:

FUEL CELL IS NOT AN ENGINE BUT A MINI-POWER PLANT to generate electricity for Electric Motor to run the car. I ask WHY do you want to “carry” the Fuel Cell in a car, JUST KEEP THE FUEL CELL AT CHARGING STATION to generate electricity for PLAIN ELECTRIC cars to come and charge. At least you won’t have safety issues connected with carrying hydrogen around and lesser weight(no fuel cell stack & no Hydrogen cylinders) to carry around. WHY CARRY FUEL CELL AROUND WITH YOU?

  7. beartracksracing says:

That is very good, now we can do carbon/body recycling like in Soylent Green.

Fuel cells are still a ways away for the masses. Expanding the search for fossil fuels will just make your gas cheaper and your long term medical bills higher.

I am glad to hear that A123systems batteries are making their way into EV’s. I am sure if A123 was around a decade ago, the EVO1 would still be around!

Just another pipe dream, that looks good on the surface, but upon close inspection the whole concept breaks down. As long as the government keeps stupidly funding these dead end projects, the longer the public is going to get ripped off. The general public is so gullible, they actually think the materials required to make the power sources will miraculously fall out of the frigggin sky.

  9. Dealit707 says:

If the stupid Dem’s in gov’t would get serious about exploring for new oil/gas reserves within U S territory, we would have an ample supply of oil/gas for decades to come. Unfortunately they are far to busy chasing rainbows when they don’t have their heads firmly buried up there arses. I just hope the American public gets wise, and steps in to stop their madness before it’s to late.

Hey there beartracksracing, a friend of mine just patented his fuel cell plate made from compressed carbon. His process is 5 times cheaper than precious metal. That’s good for us!!

  11. DudeSccrPlyr says:

definitely do what beartracksracing says. definitely an extremely complete and interesting documentary.

and check out the tesla roadster.

  12. beartracksracing says:

DON’T POST UNTILL YOU WATCH “WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR”

Then you after you understand that BigAuto and Oil are chasing rainbows with technologies that will never pan out as an excuse to keep making YOU pay more at the pump.

  13. beartracksracing says:

You missed the point CZECH27, Fuel cells will not become cheap enough due to materials needed. Yes the cost of the technology will come down, but PLATIUM is a scarce resource and will only get more expensive as more fuel cells are made. Then add in the fact that Hydrogen is not a great power souce due to its power density.

  14. czech27 says:

at one point in time, people paid a lot of money for cars that were basically pointless because there weren’t even roads. fuel cells would eventually become cheaper as more people buy them. without rich people who are able to buy things like this, they would never take off in the first place. also, when we run out of fossil fuels, (which we eventually will), it won’t matter how many miles per gallon your internal combustion engine gets because there won’t be any fuel left for them.

  15. Automobile577 says:

um hay idiot you don’t know what you are talking about, a combustion engine only uses 20% of the energy in the gasoline, but these new fuel cell cars can use 50% of the energy in the hydrogen atoms. plus the exhaust is not C02, it is water. now what sounds better to you.

  16. Haiilikeyoyos says:

lol, I don’t know about getting “cheeper,” but I don’t expect fuel cells to get cheaper for at least another year due to competition. Most fuel cell cars aren’t even available on the market yet.
